![]() Does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives to Fab Filter plugins I have cash to by the total bundle from fab filter (student discount ), but am looking for any other opinions before I delve in. The Sonnox plugins are supposed to be great, but are probably too pricey. Ive also looked at Psp, Waves, McDSP, and a couple of others, but have of course not used them all. The Master EQ 432 in T-RackS is as clean and natural and open sounding EQ that Ive heard in Native world. There are some true gems in the T-Racks collection that imo are unrivaled at what they do. T-RackS will give you both clean and character effects for a very wide and complete pallete. Check out the Precision compressor as well, it is a king of character compressors due to its richness, thickness, heavy weight, smoothness, etc. T-RackS plugins can be used individually or as modules in the all-in-one shell. The shell has a variety of meters, most plugins do MS processing, etc. Right now there is a Group Buy going on where you can get up to 5 plugins for the price of 1. Many of the plugins dont have a lot of flexibility since they emulate simple vintage gear but there is some and at a whole T-RackS is very flexible. IMO T-RackS is the best bang-for-buck solution out here, the plugins are priced low but the sound quality for many of them is high. Try the demos and heres a link to the Group Buy thread - T-Racks 3 Group Buy anyone PS. For my dollars very very few companies can compete with IK right now, YMMV. The FabFilter plugs were some of the first third party effects I ever bought 4yrs ago or something. I now own a tonne of plugs from Waves, PSP, NI, Voxengo, etc. I would highly recommend their plugs, primarily the Pro series of mixingmastering effects. ![]() Hmm. we can say every imaginable product here, but what you need and currently own is important thing to consider. For instance some 3rd party plugin bundle functionality can overlap with built-in functionality of your DAW or your existing plugins. For someone could be good thing to buy whole Fabfilter bundle and for other guy 100EUR ToneBoosters bundle with used Telecaster guitar can be much wiser inversment for given money Anyway. All Fabfilter stuff, what I have chance to tried, is perfect. Fabfilter Pro Q 2 Plus I BelieveSame applies to Sonnox plugs (there is also 50 off regular price for students, so If you pick for instance Broadcast bundle, it can be roughly same money as Fab, plus I believe the discount applies also to individual plugins). ![]() Im demoing the Limiter (Pro L. Compressor ( pro C) - fantastic plugins.
